Project Overview
HRMgnt is CAO-TECH’s own time clock, scheduling and payroll-reporting system for businesses with hourly staff: a web dashboard for owners and managers and an iPhone app for employees. Each business runs its own HRMgnt, activated with a CAO-TECH license. The iPhone app is free on the App Store; employees connect it with a code from their workplace.
The Challenge
Shared time clocks get forgotten or left open after a shift, and someone still has to total each week, work out overtime and type the hours into payroll. Managers also need to see who is working and answer time-off requests when they are not at the store.
Our Solution
A React dashboard served by a Cloudflare Worker, with Firebase for data and sign-in, and a native SwiftUI iPhone app. Employees connect a phone by scanning a one-time QR code from the dashboard (valid for 15 minutes, used once), and admins can disconnect any phone. Clocking in and out works only on the store Wi-Fi; on scheduled days the app clocks people in at the start of their shift when they arrive and out after it ends once they leave, with reminders before and after, and a scheduled job closes any shift still open an hour after it ends. Each week’s timesheet is prepared with regular and overtime hours, and once a manager approves it the hours can be sent to Paychex Flex.
