Project Overview
StockDeck is CAO-TECH’s own app for running a WooCommerce store from an iPhone or iPad: at the counter, in the stockroom or on the go. It ships with the StockDeck Connector WordPress plugin, which gives the app a secure connection to each store, and it is licensed per store and per employee through CAO-TECH’s license manager. The app is free on the App Store as StockDeck: Store Manager.
The Challenge
Store staff need to see new orders, update stock and add products away from a desk, without sharing wp-admin passwords. Stores that also sell in person with Square need online and in-store stock to stay in step.
Our Solution
A native SwiftUI app for iPhone and iPad plus a WooCommerce plugin with its own REST API. Staff connect with a one-time QR or 8-character code, so no password is stored in the app; each device gets its own revocable credential, and every request is checked against the employee’s WordPress permissions. New orders trigger push notifications through a small relay service that holds the Apple key, and stock changes to Square-linked items are sent to Square first so the website and the register agree.
