MailPilot

MailPilot is email marketing that lives in your WordPress site. Design campaigns with a drag-and-drop builder or with your own AI account, send them through the email provider you already use, and keep your subscribers in your own database. There is no MailPilot subscription and no MailPilot-hosted service.

Design

• Drag-and-drop builder with 16 blocks and 44 starter templates, including every major holiday, sales and announcements
• Mobile preview, plain-text version, undo and redo, and version history
• Optional AI Email Studio turns a short description into an editable design using your Brand Kit and the WooCommerce products you pick; it never invents prices, products or coupons, and your contacts are never sent to the AI provider

Contacts and consent

• CSV and Excel import wizard that asks how people opted in
• Double opt-in, suppression list, signed one-click unsubscribe links, a preferences page and consent history
• Segments, tags and personal data export and erasure through WordPress’s privacy tools

Sending

• Connects to SMTP and to Amazon SES, SendGrid, Mailgun, Brevo, Postmark, Resend, MailerSend, SparkPost, Mailjet, SendPulse and Elastic Email
• Background queue with provider rate limits, retries for temporary errors, and pause and resume
• Every recipient is re-checked for unsubscribes and suppressions right before their email goes out
• Automations: welcome series, scheduled newsletters, birthdays, post-purchase follow-ups and tag-triggered emails

WooCommerce (optional)

• Product cards from your catalog, coupon blocks, purchase-based segments and a checkout opt-in
• Compatible with High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS)

Reports

• Deliveries, clicks, approximate opens, bounces, complaints, unsubscribes and subscriber growth, with CSV export

Good to know

• You pay your email and AI providers directly, under their own terms; a plan for receipts may not allow newsletters
• Open rates are approximate because of privacy features in email apps; SMTP cannot report bounces or complaints back
• MailPilot helps with CAN-SPAM, GDPR and CASL, but cannot guarantee legal compliance or inbox placement
• Not in version 1.0: abandoned-cart emails, translated admin screens and WordPress multisite

• The illustrated user guide (HTML and PDF), with a setup wizard inside the plugin
• Support through the Cao-Tech support portal; we aim to reply within 2 business days (Monday–Friday, US Eastern)

Requirements

WordPress 6.6 or newer (single site), PHP 8.1 to 8.4 with the sodium and cURL extensions, MySQL 8.0+ or MariaDB 10.6+, and an account with an email delivery provider whose plan allows marketing email. Optional: WooCommerce 10.9 or newer and an AI provider account. A server cron job is recommended above a few hundred contacts.
